Current version: V4.4.23. Both companion manuals are available as direct downloads.

One Engineering Project from EtherCAT to the Application

SCATECH SCmotion combines an EtherCAT master and software motion control on Windows x64. A supported Intel network adapter connects servo drives, stepper drives, and I/O without an additional motion-control card.

The current software version is V4.4.23. The User Manual and Soft-Card SDK Programming Manual are V1.0 documents dated October 2026, marked for software 4.4.16 and later. The 4.0 in the document name identifies the product series.

Move from Simulation to Commissioning

The user manual covers simulation, configuration and debugging, and real-time operation. Engineers can first validate projects, axes, interpolation, CNC, robots, and SDK clients offline, then scan the real bus, map axes, activate configuration, and enter OP.

Topics include ESI libraries, topology, PDO mapping, startup parameters, online CoE access, and I/O testing, alongside single-axis motion, homing, interpolation, CAD import, CNC, electronic gearing and camming, and Delta, SCARA, and six-axis robots.

Integrate Custom C / C++ / C# Applications

The SDK manual documents matching C and .NET SCM_* interfaces for connection, ownership, bus control, motion, I/O, interpolation, CNC, robots, and diagnostics. Configure the engineering project in SCmotion and connect the customer application through the SDK.

Check return codes and asynchronous completion states: accepting a command does not mean motion has finished. The manual also describes 20 companion examples for C# WinForms / WPF and C++ Qt; source projects require the separate example package.

Validate the Complete Machine Configuration

The manual lists dedicated-core and shared-core real-time configurations, with cycle references of 250 microseconds and 2 milliseconds respectively. Validate the actual cycle and axis count against the controller, topology, PDO payload, and slave firmware.

Supported adapters are Intel I210 / I211 / I350 / I217 / I218 / I219. I225 / I226 and non-Intel adapters are not supported. Both Chinese manuals are direct downloads; request the V4.4.23 installer by submitting company, name, and contact details for review.
